Lauren has always loved telling stories. Since the day her parents let her pick up their JVC camcorder when she was a kid, she’s been capturing people and their stories. Even while she was in college getting her Bachelor’s degree in digital media did filming weddings ever cross her mind. So when a friend asked her to film their wedding in the summer of 2016, Lauren never thought anything of it.
Little did she know that moment would change her life forever. Now fast forward 5 years later, Lauren gets the honor of filming the most amazing weddings and telling the greatest love stories with the best couples in the world.
Fantasy Nickname: The Fire Queen
Fun Fact: I love speaking in GIFs or having GIF wars with people!
Favorite Movie or TV Shows: Friends, The Crown, Lord of the Rings, and How To Train Your Dragon all the way!
Favorite Book/Series: My own, duh! Otherwise definitely Harry Potter is at the top, though I have a long favs list.
Favorite Food: Tacos and Pasta… unless dessert counts?

Fun Fact: During Covid, I discovered an unknown passion for culinary arts. It’s a practice that I continue to develop and refine to this day with a hope to one day open up my own restaurant.
Favorite Movie or TV Shows: I am not a big anime fan however I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z and it is still my favorite show to this day.
Favorite Book/Series: Books that I don't have to read HAHA!
Biggest Ambition: Is to raise up my children with the knowledge and understanding of who Christ is. So that as they grow they can develop and nurture their own relationship with Christ.
I have always loved video and storytelling. I have been writing stories since I learned how to write and picked up my parents old JVC video camcorder (yes I am a 90’s girl) and started making random home videos, telling stories and making little mini movies. I had no idea what I wanted to do with video, always knowing that I had the talent and passion for it. I went to college and got a Bachelor’s degree in digital media and a minor in writing. Yet I had no idea what I wanted to do with it. The same year I graduated in 2016 I was asked to film a friend’s wedding and I thought nothing of it. But 2 years later I was asked to film another friend’s wedding and something changed. I originally started my business as Archer Media Productions. Soon realizing that name felt too sterile and corporate I decided on Blue Pine Films, with blue being my favorite color and my love of pine trees. Fast forward to 2021 when I moved away from my childhood home of 3 generations, the house we ended up with was on Pine Creek Road and had BLUE PINE PANELING all over the house! I didn't even realize it existed, let alone being in our new house. It was a sign. Curiosity getting the best of me, I looked it up and blue pine wood is wood damaged from bug infestation, the chemicals from their saliva and the pine wood turning it a faint blue in streaks. It kind of speaks to the idea that through trials, hardship and devastation, there is beauty that comes out of it. Something I can personally relate to and that I know many couples can as well. I knew that I wanted to be a storyteller and I decided that I could lean into my unique love and talent for storytelling as an author and utilize that to stand out in the wedding industry. And thus, Blue Pine Films was born!
